Terms of use

These terms apply to the Waypoint beta pilot — a pre-release build for invited organizers and teams. They work together with our privacy policy. General availability may use updated terms.

Beta program

You are using a pre-release pilot of Waypoint. We invite selected organizers and teams to try the product before general availability.

The beta may be incomplete or unstable. Features, pricing, and challenge content can change or be removed without notice. Races in progress may be interrupted during updates, and we cannot guarantee recovery of progress on pilot builds.

There is no service-level agreement, uptime guarantee, or production-grade support during the beta — only good-faith help at the contact email below.

Complimentary access or pilot codes are personal to your invite and may be withdrawn when the beta ends.

Feedback you send (email, surveys, bug reports, or quotes you explicitly consent to share) may be used to improve Waypoint and, where you agree, in marketing. We do not use private race photos in marketing without separate permission.

  • Organizers must brief participants that Waypoint is in beta and point them to this privacy policy.
  • Do not rely on Waypoint for safety-critical or regulated activities.

The service

Waypoint provides self-facilitated outdoor challenge races: you create or join a race with your team, complete GPS-placed challenges, and finish at a shared finale. One team can play for fun; add more teams for head-to-head competition. Challenge content is generated on our servers.

By using Waypoint you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.

Who can use it

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Organizers running a beta pilot confirm they have authority to invite participants and have shared Waypoint's privacy policy (or an equivalent notice) with their teams.

Organizer accounts

The beta Group plan does not require a master organizer account. If you sign in during the pilot, keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Payment

During the beta, access may be complimentary, via a pilot code, or through checkout at the price shown when you create a game — whichever applies to your invite.

When checkout is shown, Stripe processes card payments; we do not store full card numbers. Refund requests for paid pilot purchases are handled case by case during the beta — contact us if something went wrong.

During a race

Races take place in public outdoor spaces. Follow local laws, respect property, and use your judgment about weather, traffic, and personal safety.

Waypoint does not provide live marshals or medical support. Organizers are responsible for briefing their teams.

Limitation of liability

Waypoint is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by applicable law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.

Participants join races at their own judgment. Organizers and participants are responsible for their conduct in public space, including road safety, trespass, and interaction with third parties.

Support

Email support@playwaypoint.com for help with a pilot race. We aim to respond during your event window when possible, but beta support is best-effort only.

Content and branding

Waypoint owns the product, challenge templates, and brand assets. AI-generated challenge text is provided for play and may be inaccurate — organizers should use judgment in public settings.

Photos and videos you submit remain yours; you grant us a licence to display them in race results, wrap-up, and recaps for that event.

Ending use

We may suspend pilot access, end the beta, or remove features for abuse, legal, or operational reasons. You may stop using Waypoint at any time.

Sections that by nature should survive (liability limits, licence for photos and videos already displayed) continue to apply after the beta ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Vilnius have non-exclusive jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
